id:= 013735
Blank or green raster, flyback lines, faint pic, no osd after l.o.p transformer replacement
This was due to fusible resistor R3544 (2.7ohms) at pin 4 of the l.o.p transformer which was intermittently removing the 5v supply

id:= 011759
Blank screen, no sound
Check C2044 (4uF) for s/c

id:= 011760
Dead
Check L5524 in the 9v supply to line oscillator (from pin 26), started from pulse on pin 11 of IC7020

id:= 013737
Dead
Check L5519 for o/c or C2523 (6.8uF,63v) for low capacitance

id:= 013738
Dead
Check 10v zener D6610 for s/c, the BUK444B chopper fet for s/c, R3616/3680 (1ohm) for o/c and the BUT11AF line output transistor for s/c

id:= 013736
Dead (primary H.T only)
There was a s/c across the line output pins 6 and 1, the l.o.p transformer was faulty, modification to transformer has pin 6 joined to pin 1, panel and first schematic incorrect. Primary 6,10,1 secondary 5,4,3,2,7
(Anonymous)

id:= 011763
Dead with l.e.d flashing after a few seconds
If the l.o.p.t itself seems ok, check the 15v zener D6613

id:= 011761
Dead, 95v rail at 5v
D6671 (4.3v) was faulty

id:= 011762
Dead, l.o.p transistor s/c and replacement blows after 5 mins
This can be due to L5519 in the line drive circuit or the l.o.p transformer

id:= 011764
Dead, no line oscillation
Check C2519 (150pF) at pin 26 of the TDA8305 also check 12v zener D6030 and D6523

id:= 013744
Dead, primary H.T only
The l.o.p transformer had o/c winding (1/5)

id:= 011765
Dim picture, lines on colour
Check the 12v zener D6326

id:= 011767
Excessive height / linearity faulty / field blanking
Check / replace C2043 (82pF)

id:= 011768
Fails to stop at station when tuning
Check L5045 for o/c

id:= 013745
Field collapse
Replace the field chip

id:= 011769
Field collapse usually with blank screen
Check for failure of IC7500 (TDA3653)

id:= 011770
H.T high
Check / replace R3562 (33Kohms)

id:= 011771
H.T varies, sound goes up to maximum
Check / replace C2631 (22nF)

id:= 011772
Int buzz
This can be due to the 6MHz filter CF1036

id:= 011774
Int colour also occasional dark vertical bar on the picture
Check for a crack in the print leading from pin 10 of the l.o.p.t

id:= 011773
Int destruction of the line transistor
Replace T7521 and T7523 (BC337)

id:= 011790
Intermittently dead
The cause of this nasty fault turned out to be a small coil, L5524, which filters the supply to the line driver stage, it was going open circuit intermittently

id:= 011775
Lines on picture after about an hour, bright white lines on some scenes
Check / replace C2523 (6.8uF)

id:= 011776
Low sound
Check the 5.1v zener D6715 (near IC7700)

id:= 013739
Low volume (store / lock was set on)
To remove select Ch38, press store and control up together

id:= 017087
Low volume (store / lock was set on)
EEPROM becomes corrupted and jumpes into `hotel-mode`. To remove select Ch38, press store and control up together and set volume to maximum.
(Anonymous)

id:= 017086
Mains-supply running, no line-out
Lop transistor (7528) is dead, replacing this transistor will solve this problem, but after a few times switching the set on and off the transistor blows again, replace zener diode 6524 and capacitor 2523 !
(Anonymous)

id:= 013654
No colour
Check fusible resistor R3755 (10ohms) for o/c (on one of the 12v rails)

id:= 013740
No H.T from chopper circuit
Check / replace D6610 (BZX79C10)

id:= 013742
No sound or picture, loud hum through speaker
The l.o.p transformer was faulty

id:= 013733
No sound or picture, low hum from speaker
There was no line drive due to C2058 (22uF) being o/c (connected to pin 11 of IC7020)

id:= 011783
No tuning
Check R3703 for o/c

id:= 011777
No vision, blank unmodulated raster
Check ceramic capacitor C2045 (22nF) for leakage

id:= 013734
Picture shifts to the left and line tearing (both intermittent)
Check the smoothing capacitor C2523 (6.8uF,50v) in the line driver supply for int o/c

id:= 011778
Poor line sync
Check / replace C2501 (10uF)

id:= 016788
Procedure to enter or exit hotel mode (child lock)
Put the set on programme 38, press either store and pr - (to lock) and store and vol - (to unlock), or, press pr - and vol + (to lock and unlock), press buttons on the set (not remote)

id:= 011779
Sound slow to return after channel change
Check T7046 (BC558) for s/c

id:= 013743
Tuning drift
The 33v zener and dropper checked ok, the tuner itself was to blame

id:= 016787
Unable to Tune or Set Volume (In Prefix Mode)
1. Switch on, 2. Select CH38, 3. Press `STORE` and `UP ARROW` simultaneously, 4. Make required setttings then store, 5. TV is in normal mode now, 6. Selecting `STORE and MENU` together evokes tuning mode, all other functions work normally
(Anthony Fisk)

id:= 011781
Weak sound
Check the disc ceramic capacitors around the sound I.F chip, especially C2033 (22nF)

id:= 011782
Will not start up from cold
Turn the 95v preset down, if the set starts the fault is in the overvolts circuit, try D6638 or R3630 (33Kohms)
(Anonymous)
