id:= 013848
2a mains fuse blown
The degaussing thermistor was to blame

id:= 013849
Black band across middle of screen when cold
Check / replace C574 (100uF,40v)

id:= 013850
Black lines and jumping on text
A replacement DPU2540 chip seemed to cure this

id:= 013851
Blank white raster until warm then top cramp
Check / replace C574 (100uF,40v,105o)

id:= 013852
Buzz on sound
Adjust LB102 for 2.7v. 0.1v on pin 12 of ICB101 from cold

id:= 011864
Comes on then intermittently goes dead
Check the mains on/off switch

id:= 013854
Dead
Check / replace CB711 (0.022uF) and DB706 (BA159)

id:= 013855
Dead
Check intergrating capacitor CB711 (22nF) for failure

id:= 013853
Dead, H.T at chopper
Replace C604 (1000uF), C615 (2.2uF,350v) and C601 (1uF,50v) near the thick film control chip

id:= 013856
Dead, has 2 faint dashes in display and p.s.u whine
All secondary voltages low, l.o.p transistor had 13v on collector, replaced CB601 (1uF) and CB604 (1000uF) note wrongly marked on pcb and IC500 (TDA2579)

id:= 013857
Dead, p.s.u noisy
Check / replace DB508 (BY133G/BY228P)

id:= 011865
Dead, p.s.u not starting
Check capacitor CB11 (0.22uF) and diode DB706 (BA159)

id:= 013858
Dead, slight tripping sound
There was H.T at the chopper but no H.T at the l.o.p transistor, C604 (1000uF,25v) was to blame

id:= 013859
Faint dashes in display and whine only
Check T541 (BC557) above the H600 module for leakage base to collector

id:= 013860
Int dead, goes to standby
Check for failure of ICB101

id:= 013861
Int field collapse
Check for dry joints on the big capacitor by the field chip

id:= 013862
Int loss of picture, sound ok
The c.r.t heater supply was intermittent due to dry joint on pin 9 of the l.o.p.t

id:= 013863
Int patterning
Check TB101 (BF199), CB120 (1nF) / CB111 (4.7nF)

id:= 011866
Low supply rails
Check T541 (BC557) for leakage

id:= 013864
Low width
Check HB600

id:= 013866
No cold start
C610 and C601 were both fitted in pcb wrong way round (markings on pcb wrong)

id:= 013865
No colour
Xtal XTB201 may be faulty

id:= 013867
No ew correction and excessive width
This was due to LB501

id:= 013868
No picture / sound, flickers/crackles with diamond shape on screen
The H.T was low at 80v (should be 120v), C610 (2.2uF,50v) was faulty

id:= 013869
No sound or varying level
Due to the self wipe contacts on on/off switch

id:= 013871
No sound or vision
This was due to C645 (100nF) on the text pcb

id:= 013870
No sound or vision, random channel display
ICB1 (SAA1244) was faulty

id:= 013872
Picture intermittently blacks out (sometimes in strips)
This was due to a faulty text panel (possibly the through the board connections)

id:= 013873
Picture intermittently blanks out, sound ok but no text
Ok with text panel disconnected, replaced TPU2732 (soak tested 1 week)

id:= 013874
Picture too bright with flyback lines
CB574 (100uF) in the field output stage was low capacitance

id:= 013875
Slow start up
CB604 (1000uF,6v) was found to be faulty

id:= 013876
Sound intermittently goes off
The TDA4505 was faulty

id:= 013880
Standby only
This was due to DBT705 (BR100) being faulty

id:= 013877
Text problem / loss of colour drive
Check capacitors CB216/7/8 (100uF) - pins 24, 25 and 26 of ICB201 should read 1.2v

id:= 013878
Text unlocked and weak contrast on text
Suspect TPU2732 chip (expensive)

id:= 011852
Trips on channel change, IC501 has short life
L601 in the line stage had shorted turns

id:= 013879
