Blank raster with purity error
This fault is actually field collapse which is shifted off screen with beam reflected from bowl of crt, check output ic also L1501 and L1503 on 15+, 15- rail

Replaced the field ic TDA8179 with a STV9379, also replaced the 0.47ohm resistor at pin 7 of the flyback transformer (in the negative 15 volt supply to the output chip) which was o/c

Adjust the auto green cut off and adjust grey scale using electronic screwdriver settings

No colour
Replaced decoder chip IC301 (TDA9145), the chroma delay line (TDA4660) and Xtals X301/2

No colour with video playback especially with 2nd generation copies
Change IC301 from TDA9145/N1 or TDA9145N2B to TDA9145N3C (Pt. no. 8-759-343-40), replace L307 (4.7uH) with a link wire and replace R316 (33K) with a 100K (Pt no. 1-216-097-00)

No sound / picture, 1 l.e.d only lit
Check for dry joints on the field output chip also check other relevant areas for dry joints as a precaution

No text. Picture tearing in a pulsing time constance
Eprom corrupted due to dry joints causing spikes. Initialise

Loss of field output due to dry joints on the field output chip (next to l.o.p.t by back panel)

Add a 3.3Kohms resistor and a 0.015uF capacitor in parallel with C201

This was due to the STB9379 field chip (can use TDA8179S ??)

Check double diode D613 in the p.s.u for leakage
